Atlanta Alumni and Celebrity Golf Tournament

 The 2nd Annual Mississippi Celebrity and Alumni Golf Tournament, sponsored by the Mississippi Society of Georgia, will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014, at the Chapel Hills Golf Club located at 3300 Golf Ridge Boulevard in Douglasville. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Proceeds from this tournament will benefit the Mississippi Society of Georgia Scholarship, which awards a scholarship to a graduating Georgia high school senior who will be attending a Mississippi institution in the fall of 2014.

Mississippi Night at the Braves Game

The Mississippi Society of Georgia Night at the Atlanta Braves will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014. A pre-game social will begin at 5 p.m. in the Hank Aaron Room at Turner Field, and first pitch is set for 7:35 p.m. as the Atlanta Braves face the Los Angeles Angels. 

Group rate tickets are $35 per person and include admittance to the pre-game social and the game, as well as popcorn at the social. A cash bar will also be available in the Hank Aaron Room. To purchase tickets, please visit the Mississippi Society of Georgia website by clicking here.

6th Annual Atlanta's Mississippi in the Park

The 6th Annual Atlanta's Mississippi in the Park will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014, from 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at Chastain Park in Buckhead located at 145 West Wieuca Road Northwest. 

Admission to the picnic is free, and fried catfish plates from Mississippi's own Penn's Catfish will be available for purchase. Meal tickets are available for pre-purchase at a discounted rate of $15 each by clicking here, and meal tickets will be available for purchase at the picnic for $20 each.
