Larry hailed from Greenville, Mississippi and graduated in May 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel & Restaurant
Administration. While at Southern Miss he worked on campus at the Receiving Department from 1980 to 1982, and worked in the Charcoal Room from 1982 to 1984.

Larry worked with Red Lobster Black Eyed Pea and Buffalo's  as a manager in several locations including cities in Alabama and Georgia.

In 1996 Larry returned to school to work on his second Bachelors degree in Information Systems, and is presently  attending school at Kennesaw State University. He changed fields in 1997 working as a contractor in support of Bellsouth.net and in September of 1997, he became a Co-Op and supplemental employee at IBM supporting Distance Learning and Computer Based Training. He has been at IBM for almost four years now.

Larry has been active in the Atlanta Alumni and an active Atlanta Mafia member since 1997.  From 1998 through 1999 he served as an elected officer of Atlanta Alumni Association as the recruiting chairperson, and continues actively attending two recruiting functions per year. Larry has planned a recruiting function this fall at South Cobb High School, and one in the Spring as a combined function of Harridan, McEachern, and Kennesaw Mountain High Schools. He plans to add a couple of more high school recruiting events to his calendar on an annual basis.

In 2000 and 2001, he served as the Vice President of the Atlanta Alumni Association in support of Hobbie Hewitt, and was active in the annual Spring Meeting, Kristen Bower Golf Tournament and our representative of Southern Miss at the high school recruiting functions which he has established relationships with.

Larry has been a paid alumni  and Eagle Club member since 1997. He is also a contributing editor on GoldenEagles.net, and a proud member of the Road Buzzard Club! He is a season ticket holder for Football, and proudly occupies chair back seats in section DD. He traveled to more games than not, last year making it to nine of the twelve games, and this year he has tickets and plans to make it to all eleven games.
