Good Morning and Happy New Year.

I trust this finds everyone well, safe, and ready for the New Year. In the past I have asked for your assistance on many occasions - and in many cases the simplest way to help was to increase your donation to the Eagle Club, which is truly appreciated. This year, I'd like to ask for one small change.  We need the base of support for our entire program to grow. No longer can the proud, the loyal, the few, provide the resources we need to be so competitive in all our athletic endeavors.

As most of you are aware - in April the University will kick off a $100 million Capital Campaign. Though there are no limitations on what any department can raise, we have been targeted to raise $10 million. Unfortunately, as with the rest of The University, our needs are far greater than that.

To accomplish this, plus to continue to raise the annual dollars needed, we need your support in helping us identify potential fans and supporters. January is a great month for me to travel and meet new people. Additionally, we have a home basketball schedule that is second to none, and teams that will make you proud. Please consider bringing additional fans with you to these home games, also, send me names and work numbers of potential new fans, and how you feel I should best approach them. This is critical.

I am fully cognizant that in today's world, time limitations have hampered volunteerism - but all I ask is for a moment of your time, and a few names and numbers that I can potentially visit for involvement. Please don't sit by and think that everything is headed in the right direction. Though the leadership and plans are in place, we cannot be successful without more fans - and that is the bottom line.
